Free Training For Family Members

As part of the ADM Board’s commitment to support the development of family focused approaches for those affected by substance misuse, a free training for family members living with a loved one who is misusing substances will take place later this month. The Community Reinforcement And Family Training (CRAFT) is a highly-effective, evidence-based, program of support for family members living with a loved one (i.e. partner or adult son/daughter) who is using alcohol or drugs problematically but who refuses to enter treatment.

CRAFT teaches these family members how to change their own behavior toward the substance using family member and learn to manage their environment so that appropriate behavior is effectively rewarded, drinking or drug use is discouraged, and engagement in treatment is encouraged.

The CRAFT training is a three day training that will take place August 28th through 30th and attendance on all three days is necessary to successfully complete the training. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
