Voters approve 2.95 mill renewal levy

Summit County voters passed Issue 14, a renewal of the Summit County ADM Board levy, with 69 percent of the vote.

The six-year, 2.95-mill levy will fund approximately 78 percent of the agency’s operating budget. The revenue is used to fund mental health and recovery programs for children, adults and families in the county. The 6-year levy will become effective in 2020 and collections will start in 2021.

“We’re happy that the citizens of Summit County have voted in support of the levy,” Jerry Craig said. “We’re appreciative of their belief in us and our ability to meet the demands that the community has, as it relates to mental health and addiction issues.”

The ADM Board is responsible for planning, funding, monitoring and evaluating treatment, prevention and support services for people who experience alcoholism, drug addiction and/or mental illness.
