ADM Board Welcomes New Board of Directors Member

Akron, Ohio On March 23, 2021, the County of Summit Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Services Board welcomed Kimberly Huff to its Board of Directors with a swearing in by Judge Joy Oldfield. Currently, Ms. Huff serves as the Community Relations Representative for the Synthomer Foundation where she is responsible for the organization’s philanthropy budget and the initial evaluation of certain incoming grant requests. She also acts as Synthomer Foundation’s key representative for all employee and community engagement activities.
“We are pleased to add Kimberly to the Board. She is an experienced community leader, and we look forward to hearing her insights and perspectives as the ADM Board of Directors continues the work of providing supportive services to residents with alcoholism, substance use and mental health disorders,” said John Williams, ADM Board of Directors Chair.
Regarding her joining the Board, Ms. Huff said, “So many people I know and love have in some way been affected by addiction and mental health issues. Therefore, I am committed to the ADM Board and look forward to helping those affected access the resources needed to overcome their situations. I am thrilled to serve the residents of Summit County.”
Ms. Huff is an active member of the Summit County community, volunteering with local organizations such as Leadership Akron’s Diversity on Board program, Athena Akron and Philanthropy Ohio. She has served on committees and boards, including Akron Roundtable, Women’s Endowment Fund and Goodwill Industries. Ms. Huff is also an active member of the graduate chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. where she is the current Vice President. She and her husband, Jermainne, reside in Cuyahoga Falls.
