Program for youth and young adults at risk for psychosis
It is estimated in Summit County 1,040 people ages 10-25 are at high risk for psychosis. C-CAN was developed to provide preventive treatment to those individuals. Read The Akron Beacon Journal story about C-CAN.
C-CAN offers a stepped-care program that provides counseling, family education, case management, and employment/education support. Each component is critical to achieving positive outcomes for individuals exhibiting the early signs of psychosis. Using a coordinated specialty care approach, the plan is administered by a team of mental health professionals and specialists, and includes psychotherapy, medication management, and peer support.
The C-CAN program is now taking referrals. Visit their website for more information or call the C-CAN Resource Line at 234-788-1646.
