Change Direction Faith Committee
Change Direction started as an initiative that focused on the changing culture of mental health in America so that all of those in need receive the care and support they deserve.
What began as a nation-wide, large-scale initiative evolved in Summit County. Led by a dedicated team of interfaith community leaders, the Change Direction Faith Committee works together to provide residents with the tools to recognize the signs of crisis and mental health distress and to support those who need it most.
Who Is Involved?
Faith leaders from across Summit County meet monthly to discuss ways to support the greater community. Representatives from different faiths, traditions, and approaches share experiences and perspectives on how to best serve those who need mental health support from a faith-based perspective.
Know the Signs
One of the Change Direction Faith Committee’s goals is to educate community members on how to identify the signs of suffering as, oftentimes, individuals do not share their private struggles.
This simple resource can help someone be better prepared to identify and support someone in need.
