Hoarding Task Force Conference Success

SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio — On Wednesday, November 13, 2024, the Summit County Hoarding Task Force, in collaboration with Summit County Public Health and the County of Summit Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services Board, hosted the 2024 Fall Conference: “Transfer Knowledge to Practice: Assessment, Case Management, and Harm Reduction Strategies for Hoarding.”

The conference, held at St. George’s Fellowship Hall, drew over 200 attendees representing 28 counties throughout Ohio. The event equipped professionals with essential tools and strategies to assess, manage, and implement harm reduction in hoarding situations. Key topics included factors influencing risk judgments, harm reduction principles, and community-based strategies for addressing hoarding.
