WEST AKRON – The time has come for the state to provide more resources in the fight against opiate abuse. Those attending the Sept. 14 Summit County Opiate Task Force’s quarterly meeting said.
“They’re asking for resources” said Travis Bornstein, whose son died two years ago in Coventry. “Everyone is exhausted.”
The meeting as Summit County Public Health headquarters was attended by about 100 people, ranging from law enforcement and government health officials to members of the recovery community and family members of those struggling with addiction.
Some at the meeting said the state should use its Rainy Day Fund, which that said is now at $2 billion to address the issue. Read the article in its entirety.
