Wear Green Day Summit County is observed on the first Friday in May in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month. The Summit County ADM Board invites residents, agencies, workplaces, schools, and community partners to wear green on May 1 as a visible sign of support for mental health. Wearing green helps reduce stigma, spark conversations, and remind our community that Support is Here in Summit County.

How to Participate

Mental Health Awareness Month is recognized each May across the United States. Wearing green has become a symbol of hope, strength, and support for individuals and families affected by mental health challenges.
By participating in Wear Green Day, residents and organizations across Summit County can help reduce stigma and encourage open conversations about mental health. Small actions, like wearing green or sharing a message online, can remind someone that they are not alone and that support is available.
The ADM Board works year-round to connect individuals and families with behavioral health services and resources. Wear Green Day Summit County helps raise awareness of mental health resources and reminds our community that Support Is Here.
